A2 Tyre Supplies takes the protection of your data and privacy seriously.  We will only use your personal information to deliver goods and services you have requested from us to meet our legal and statutory responsibilities and assist with compliance with UK law.  This policy explains how A2 Tyre Supplies uses the personal information collected from you.

We collect information from you when you use our website, telephone us or contact us via email or other electronic media.

 

What type of information do we collect from you?

Information we collect might include your name, address, contact telephone number(s), email address, IP address, which pages you have visited on our website and when/how you accessed them, information on your vehicle, VAT and company registration numbers.

We also have in place a CCTV system which monitors our premises which will include CCTV footage of all customers and visitors to our workshop and all customer vehicles stored.

-          To maintain our records in accordance with applicable legal and statutory obligations

-          To process financial transactions

-          To prevent and detect fraud or other crimes and/or support law enforcement bodies in detecting and preventing any form of crime

        

What personal information may be shared?

In order to support the prevention and detection of crime, A2 Tyre Supplies may provide personal information to law enforcement agencies or the Police.

Additionally, in the event that any dispute arises due to non-payment of invoices or a claim being made against us, we may share personal information with debt collection agencies, our legal representatives and our insurers. 

To ensure compliance with HMRC and other government regulations we will retain certain data for up to 6 years, after which time it will be securely destroyed/deleted.   Data will only be kept for the shortest time required to enable us to comply with UK law and regulation.

 

How to access and update your data?

If you wish to see details of the information A2 Tyre Supplies holds in connection with you, it will be necessary for you to make a subject access request under the General Data Protection Regulations.  A fee will be charged for this at the rate permitted by Data Protection Regulations.

If the information we hold on you changes, please email or write to us with your new personal information. 

 

Deletion of data

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information.  We will do so provided this information is not required by us to fulfil our legal and statutory obligations or comply with current legislation.   

 

Keeping your data secure

All data stored electronically will be held on secure electronic records management systems, with the system being dependent upon the nature of the information.  All hard-copy data held in paper format is securely stored in a locked office or storage facility monitored by CCTV. 

Where you hold a password to access your account on our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.  All passwords should be unique and you should not use the same password to access our website as you use for any other websites.

We aim to resolve directly all complaints in relation to the handling of your personal data, however if your complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
